This year has been one of the most depressing and isolating for so many of us. People have loved and lost, there is so much anxiety re the future from the young and the old.
It's really important to try to be in the moment at least once or twice a day, this may be by the use of a scan of your body for tension or stress or just doing a mindful meditation or relaxation. Mindfulness is a really useful concept in these times, many of us are stuck in the fight/flight/freeze response, this not only uses cortisol as a way of keeping us in this response but has a damaging effect on our long term physical health.
If you can try to think about your body and note any tension at least once a day you will notice the benefit over time.
